Is Jacob's Scarves a non-profit?
Non-profit operation, unfortunately, requires adherence to a complex web of laws, stipulations, and requirements - far beyond what's imposed on companies classified as 'for-profit'. Initially, we planned to be a non-profit, as it only makes sense - our purpose is to support the education of children around the world. However, as we investigated further and consulted with people who've gone down both roads, we decided to stay registered as a for-profit business. As a for-profit, we have more freedom to give how we want, as much as we want, as fast as we want, without all the governmental hoops that would be required merely for tax-deductible status. So, Jacob's Scarves is set up as a for-profit company with a philanthropic mission.
How much is shipping?
Shipping is $4 for the first item, and $1 for each additional item.
International shipping is $12 for the first item, and $3 for each additional item.
Where are your products made?
Currently our scarves are made from several different sources: Turkey, China, Uganda, and from within the US. Ideally, we like to purchase scarves from the same communities where we're sponsoring children - like we do with our Uganda line.
Will you ship outside the US?
Absolutely! Though there may be a shipping fee included for international orders.
How long will it take to receive my order?
Once shipped, most domestic orders arrive in 2-7 business days. International orders tend to take 7-25 days.
What is your return/exchange policy?
If you are unsatisfied with your purchase in any way, please contact us immediately via email (see our Contact page). We will be sure to remedy the situation with a return, exchange, or credit toward a future purchase.
